As head of the transport company Jet Services, which he co-founded in 1973, Michel Garcia soon became aware through contact with his clients, particularly the banks, of their difficulties in managing their archives and documents.
Alongside his role as Co-Manager of Jet Services, he set up Archiv'Alpha in 1989 to develop a new archive and document management service.
Positioned in the growing and as yet poorly structured market of outsourced archiving, Archiv'Alpha soon stood out from the other players thanks to its strong presence on the ground, specialist expertise in logistics and an active commercial policy.
With the arrival of Lionel Garcia, Archiv'Alpha reached one of the most important milestones in its development by moving into electronic archiving.
Aware of new technologies and the challenges faced by businesses, Lionel Garcia complemented the entrepreneurial experience of his father by offering another vision of archiving, mainly by opening it up to issues of electronic document management.
So, in 2002, Archiv'Alpha began to develop its electronic archiving services alongside its original physical archiving business. A real shift in direction which involved, for example, setting up an IT services company responsible for software development.
Thanks to this father/son duet combining entrepreneurial experience with innovative technological vision, Archiv'Alpha became in the space of less than 20 years France’s joint leading archiving and document management company and won its gamble on electronic archiving, which now represents 10% of its turnover (20 to 30% in the next few years).
As a result of this development, Archiv'Alpha is now changing its name to the Everial Group. A new name to reflect the scope of the Group’s current activity – from physical archiving to electronic document management, and which is part of its international development strategy.
